Program: John Rhode introduced Dr. Jody Roy, Department Chair of Ripon College Dept of Communication, who spoke on youth violence. Dr. Roy is an excellent speaker and talked about “bullying” “bullicide”. School shooting, of which 1300 have occurred since 1990. She explained how Neo Nazis or Skinheads recruit and many other facets of the problem in this, our country. Thanks John and Dr. Roy for this fine program. She is also creating a Ripon College Student Speakers Bureau, developing their unique voices as agents of change within our world. Next week = Greeter & Prayer – Diane Shady Program – Peter Sensenbrenner brings Michael O’Rourke, new District Attorney for Fond du Lac County. Michael was appointed to replace Tom Storm, who was appointed to a State D.A. position by Governor Doyle. Thought for today: Dear Lord – You endowed me with common sense and I thank You. If friends offer well-meaning advice, contrary to my convictions, help me to do what I feel is right without hurting anyone. Amen While loving your enemies, treat your friends a little better.
