Sgt at Arms: Rick Coles penalized for
wearing red. $1.00. I wonder if all those slips said the same
thing?!!
Program: Nita Krenz introduced Fond du
Lac County D.A., Michael O’Rourke, who gave an interesting talk on the
functioning of his office, which includes 5 other attorneys. He feels
with the number of referrals, he is understaffed. Last year they
received 7,138 referrals. Not all referrals are charged, but last year
had 31 jury trials. Ripon had 254 referrals and 65% were prosecuted,
not as previously reported. This is above the state average.
Gang influence is growing – a lot of
“gang wanna bees”. More girls involved in crime. He states he is
opposed to the death penalty, no life should be taken and it costs more
to execute than put them in jail for life.
He also opened to questions on
illegal aliens and stealing of medications.
Thanks Nita, Mr. O’Rourke and Peter for this program.
Next Week – April 16
Greeter & Prayer- Nita Krenz
Program: Diane Shady presents
Published Author, Tom Montag of Fairwater.
Thought for today: Dear Lord – Silence
my tongue when I am tempted to list the faults of my friends. Remind me
that they can do the same about me. Amen
A
friend is like an eagle; you don’t find them flying in flocks.
