Dr. Blake Waterhouse stepped up and gave a thumbnail presentation on our Ripon Rotary Foundation. We are fortunate to have Dr. Blake as leader of The Foundation Board, due to his knowledge and experience with the Rotary Clubs of Madison and in Honolulu, Hawaii, while he served as President to both clubs.

Our local foundation was born in 1987, during Rik Rikkers presidency.  At present it’s corpus is $61,7ll and only interest is used for community projects.

Blake encourages all our members to give $100.00 annually and also $100.00 to the International Foundation.  To stimulate local donations, a Heritage Society is to be formed.  For $1,000.00 in giving, a special recognition certificate.

An anonymous member has pledged $25,000 over two years, to be matched.

Look over your wills and trusts as a place for pledging.

Our foundation is managed by the Oshkosh Foundation and is likely to continue to date the local foundation has given to three causes.

(1)   9ll Fund

(2)     Father Wally

(3)     Ingalls Field

Thanks Dr. Blake for your leadership and this on the spot program.

Next Week – Greeter & Prayer – Chuck Larson

                      Program – Todd Goheen

Thought for today:  God – I pray for the people who live in countries that are at war.  May they soon know peace and start to live without fear.  Amen
