                From comments made in the year 1955 –“When I first started driving, who would have thought gas would someday cost 29 cents a gallon.  Guess we’d be better off leaving the car in the garage.” 

                                It’s Monday and 12:00 noon.  Attend the meeting of your Rotary Club at Royal Ridges. 

Today you would have been greeted by Tim Lyke, who also rendered prayer.

Our President is Lee Prellwitz.

Our guests today were (1) Visiting Rotarians, Scott Hammer of the West Bend Morning Club

                                        (2) and Tre Waldren of Sheboygan.

                                        (3) New Ripon College Stident of month – Nasif Rogers.

                                                     Social Studies Major, who hopes to student teach next year at R.H.S. 

Upcoming dates to remember:

(1)     Feb. 14 – Webster Foundation will present our club with a grant

(2)     Feb. 14 – Ripon Service Clubs Valentine Party at Ripon College.  $20.00 per plate.

(3)     Feb. 19  Board Meeting

(4)     March 5 – In House meeting at R.M.C.

(5)     March 7 – Rose Sale Order must be in for delivery on Rose Day, March 28, Wednesday, at Horicon Bank.

(6)     March 30 – Scholarship Dinner at C.J.’s

(7)     March 31  District Meeting in Slinger. 

Sgt at Arms -  Rich Coles—Matching Current NFL teams with the city the original franchise was in.  Our table had 7 of 8, but still paid a dollar. 

Program:  Karen Luker introduced Paula Price, Exec. Director of the Ripon Chamber of Commerce.  Paula proceeded to describe the new policy of a more defined direction to promote Ripon and serve as an information center by helping economic developments by expansion and redesign of their website, and send all of planned events to  State Department of Tourism.  To cooperate with other organizations in their events, such as The RA.C.E. Car Show and Farm Toy Expo.  Perhaps to set up a kiosk on the west entry to Ripon with information on what we have in Ripon.

                This Spring and Summer, with the reopening of The Little White Schoolhouse, complete with heating and air-conditioning, to expand its season and get school children more aware and involved. She seeks to inform members of services available.  She passed out a calendar of events complete with restaurant facilities.  Paula always presents an informative program.    Thanks Karen & Paula.
