Jackie Syens of Alliant Energy (with a classification of Customer Service Supervisor) has been proposed for membership in the Ripon Rotary Club, by Dean Rogers.  If no written objection to the proposal, stating reasons, is received by the board from any member of the club within seven (7) days following publication of the name of the prospective member, the prospective member, upon payment of the admission fee, shall be considered to be elected to membership.

Announcements:

                Lee Prellwitz – Cookie Daize – August 7 –need volunteers to work the food booth.

                John Rockwood – August 13, in conjunction with P.G.A. at Whistling Straits, will have mini putting for kids and chipping of marshmallows for adults at Selfridge Park the same day as the Duck-tona race during and following the race.

                Laurie reports $382.00 gross on the corn roast, has an idea next year of also offering turkey drumsticks.  She and Lee are creating an album of photos and newsclipings of the Club’s activities with the help of Tim Lyke.

                Past President Nita gave attendance pins to Rick Coles – 2 years and Diane Shady – 1 year.

                Board meeting next Monday at 11:00 for visit with the District Governor, Richard Carlson of Neenah.

                Sgt at Arms – Lee Prellwitz offered a Rotary Quiz.  My table donated $1.00 each to Penny Annie, conceived by President Marshall McDonough. 

Program:  Jennifer Aither introduced Dan Trampf, C.A.T., licensed Athletic Trainer at Ripon Medical Center, who with the help of Tom Hobbs, gave a presentation on R.M.C. Health Strategies, plus programs on Industrial Rehab, Occupational Health, Small Business Ergonomics.  The projections of the program into preventing injuries and the role of the Athletic Trainer on these programs, and the proactive approach rather than reactive.
