Our Sympathy is extended to past president, Lee Prellwitz, on the death of his mother, whose funeral was today. Joint golf tourney with the Berlin Rotary, coming up Wednesday, July 23 at Tuscumbia. Board meeting and Club Assembly on Monday, July 21. Ryan Tate received his Rotary Cap and Lori Pamenter and Ruth White received their Official Badges. Sgt at Arms – Bill Boutwell almost met his budget in one day and we thought Rick Coles was tough!! Program: Dr. Randy Zeith and Bob Gray presented a very informative program on Macular Degeneration. Bob has the condition and expressed from the patients view, what it means as a change in life style. My good friend, since we were 14 years old, hasn’t lost his sense of humor. The causes of A.M.D. are not known. Certain factors may increase the likelihood of it developing. These include smoking, farsighted ness, High B.P. obesity, and family history. Thought for today: Dear Lord – every morning I pray that I may live the way it pleases You, but too often I find my prayers to be mechanical and meaning less what I say with my lips, send down deep into my heart.
