Volume XXVII “Even a woodpecker owes his success to the fact that he uses his head”.--- But you, keep your head in all situations…2 Timothy 4:5. We meet every Monday at 12:00 noon at Royal Ridges, except last Monday eve, we met at C.J.S. at the Wayside, for Changing of the Guard. 25 Rotarians, guests, etc. attended. Those who didn’t attend, missed an enjoyable evening. The following were given Perfect Attendance pins. Hank Grams – 37 years Alex Hooker – 31 years Pete Sensenbrenner – 16 years Tom Worrall – 14 years Rich Carley – 7 years Nita Krenz 7 years Kathy Schwandt, Jane Schueler, Laurie Kasuboski – 3 years Rick Coles – 5 years Lori Rich & Doug Bradley – 1 year Nita Krenz was announced to be an assistant District Governor for 6270. Various male members received Rotary Ties for their services and special ladies received Rotary Scarves.. The food was delicious and the fellowship awesome!! Today: Greeter & Prayer – Lee Baird Our 2nd. Term President – Lee Prellwitz Guest – Andrew Johnson- D.O. (Dr. Johnson desires to be a Rotarian Attendance Makeups – Dave Duehring, while on Alaskan Cruise and Land Trip. And Peter Sensenbrenner –3 at Fond du Lac. Announcements: (1) Dave Baker, club secretary for 30 years given a Rotary tie. (2) Daniel’s last meeting with us will be next week –He’s fishing today at Minoqua. (3) Attend Concert on the Green, Friday night, by “Bazooka Joe” and receive a Rotary attendance makeup. (4) ROTARY RAFFLE tickets for 42 inch HDT Television on Sale- $10.00 – only 1000 will be sold. David Sakrison, chairman, has tickets to SELL –SELL. Winner will be drawn Oct. 1 at the noon meeting. (5) ROTARY GOLF CLASSIC at Mascoutin – Wednesday July 25. Still time to enter a 4-some for a day of fun and banquet with prizes. Call Laurie Kasuboski. (6) Fantastic 50’s—4 hours of B-Bopping Music and fun – Friday July 20th at Royal Ridges. Cost $3.00. Fabulous 50’s Food at affordable prices. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. Bring your own Vintage Car and get in free!!! Happy Bucks!!$$ (1) Kathy Schwandt – 1 for her Masters Degree and l for her daughters B.A. achieved in only 3 Years. (2) Bill Boutwell for his first Grandbaby, Anna (3) Gary Born on the college graduation of his youngest, who also has a job already. No Sgt. Today!! Hoo-Ray!! Program: Bill Boutwell introduced fellow Rotarian, Tom Worrall, who presented a program about Northwestern Mutual. Tom has been an agent for 26 years. The Company was founded March 2, 1857, with its home office in Janesville, WI. Col. Johnson had the 1st. Policy issued. The first claim was paid when a cow and train collided. $3,500 was paid, but the officers had to borrow the money to pay the claim. In 1862 the company moved to Milwaukee, where the home office remains. The Company ranks 116th on the Fortune 500. Thanks Bill and Tom for your program.
