has $60,000.00 and projects being studied.  Encourages each of us during year to give $100.00 to local foundation and $100 to International Rotary Foundation.

Program:  Tom Worrall introduced Chuck Pike, mentor in insurance and fellow Rotarian of Fond du Lac.  Chuck introduced John St. Peter, a 30 yr. member of Fond du Lac Club.  John is an attorney by profession, who practiced law with his Father George M. St. Peter, who was a 50 year member of the Fond du Lac noon club.

John spoke of his Father, he also spoke on the Paul Harris Fellow Award, and the many projects we as Rotarians help finance in the world – Polio Plus – where 650 million has been spent, and we have seen a 99% drop in cases world wide.  The 1% remain in Afghanistan, Nigeria, Pakistan, and India.  Rotary believes the 1% can be removed, rather than contain it. Give $100 to Int, Rotary Foundation!

A $100.00 gift will buy books, mosquito nets, cataract surgeries.  Some phrases George gave to answer those who question our programs.

(1)     Be a player, not a spectator.

(2)     The secret is not counting the beans;  it’s growing more beans.

(3)     “Gratitude is the moral memory of Time.”

Thanks Tom, for the fine program.

Next week – Greeter & Prayer – Dr. Blake Waterhouse

Program – Dr. Roy Yeomans and a program on The Shriners Children's Hospital.

Thought for today:  God—At the end of each day and I am weary, grant me a night of peaceful sleep.  Let me wake up refreshed and ready to do Your work.  Amen.

There are days when it takes all you’ve got just to keep up with the losers.

                                                 Scribe—Rich Carley—748-3391

P.S. The Scribe is fishing in Canada next week and President Lee will do the bulletin for me.  Thanks, Lee.
