                                Daniel will be going to New Orleans with the Band, the week of Spring Break. 

President Lee says today's board meeting was very productive and last weeks Strive meeting, concerning money matters with Kathy Schwandt, was also successful. 

David Sakrison attended the conference for incoming Presidents with Nita Krenz.  David is fired up for continuity and will stress Membership and International Service.  The “Shelter Boxes” distributed by an English Rotary Club drew David’s praise.  He thinks it will be a new “Polio Plus” and is impressed by the fact that Rotary is the largest humanitarian organization in the world. 

Other announcements:

                Tim Lyke says our outbounder Tina Hughes seeks pins she can place on her Blazer which pertain to Ripon.

                Bill Denkert reminds us to watch the League of Women Voters panel on the School Board Candidates on Thursday – Local Channel.  Bill is again a candidate.

                Todd – Roses – Only 14 dozen still available.  Remember on Wednesday, March 28, the Big Day.  Pick-up at Horicon Bank – 11:00 to 3:00.  Ripon Area Builders, next day 8:00 to noon & 1:00 to 4:00.

                Kathy Ginder – Annual Scholarship Dinner, April 30.  No noon meeting that day:  plan to attend the dinner.  If you have items for the raffle, call Kathy.

                Laurie – Tickets to help support Youth Wrestling. 

Sgt at Arms:  Rick, back from Iowa, in rare form with quiz on St. Patrick.  Everyone in the hall donated $1.00  Our panel of Lori Rich, Dave Baker, David Sakrison, Tom Worrall, Tim Lyke and Karen Geisler, got 3 of 5 , but the Sgt. demanded 4 of 5. 

Program:  John Rockwood introduced Jill Cardinal, Area American Cancer Society Leader, who spoke on the importance of the Research funded by the A.M.C. and Relay for Life.  225 billion dollars toward research since 1946 that produced Mammography, Pap testing, P.S.A. for Prostrate Cancer, smoking and cancer.  There are 16 Research Facilities in WI., who received 8.5 million dollars.

                She also told of the Navigator Program, which provides information and help to cancer victims and the Hope Lodge in Marshfield, where victims and their families can say while being treated.

                The Local Relay For Life will be April 20-21 – where teams walk all night in order to reach goal of $103,000, this year.  This is the 10th. year for the local Relay.  Last year there were 4,500 relays through the country.                                           Thanks John and Jill.
