(2) Greg Dragolovich of Edward Jones – guest of Tim Holz and prospective new member. (3) Dan Teuteberg of R.M.C. – guest of Lisa Hale. ROSE DAY, THIS WEDNESDAY!! Still need to sell. Pick up at Horicon Bank- 11a.m. to 3:00 p.m. STRIVE still seeking Rotarians to serve as table mentors for the next meeting. Sgt at Arms: Rick Coles and a shell game on paper. Everyone pays!! You should have this game on a street corner down town!!! Program: Dave Deuhring introduced Melissa Stobbe, who is employed by Dave as a Pharmacy Tech. Melissa is also the first recipient in WI. of a bone marrow transplant, followed by a double lung transplant. Melissa is close to the University of Wisconsin Organ Procurement Organization, for obvious reasons. A victim of Leukemia in 1997, she received the bone marrow transplant in 1998. As she explained, she crashed in 2005 and received the double lung transplant. There are, as of this morning, 98,034 people waiting in the U.S. for an organ and 1,470 waiting in the state of Wisconsin. The present law in Wisconsin, even though your drivers license indicates your wish to be an organ donor, the final permission to harvest your organs most come from your family. What a fine program, Dave & Melissa. Next Week – Greeter & Prayer – David Sakrison Program – Dean Rogers presents a dramatic presentation by Oshkosh Christian School. Thought for today: God—fill me with confidence that with You beside me, all things are possible. I put my trust in You that You will be with me as I try to attain the goals You have set for me. Amen Deal with faults of friends as gently as with your own. Scribe, Rich Carley --- 748-3391 |
