Greeted today by Dr. Blake Waterhouse, who also rendered a fitting prayer. Presiding Officer – Sue Finch Brown – Our Able President Guesting today (1) Orlo Bierman of the Green Lake Club (2) Pascal Rinnert – Inbounder from Germany (3) Brian Hahn (RHS Student of month, for 1 day), twin brother of Adam, who was student of month with us previously. Brian is an honor student, fine in Math and Science, active in band, track, cross country, Boy Scouts, National Honor Society. Next year will attend U. of WI. Madison, and hopes to become a medical doctor. Announcements: (1) No Meeting next week – Memorial Day (2) Pray for Larry Trotter’s daughter, Amy, who is 6 months pregnant and has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. (3) Resignation of Kurt Rheingans, who has taken a new position with Johnson Bank, and will move to Appleton. (4) Scholarship winners were announced. (5) Jane Schueler thanked Rick Coles, Hank Grams, Kim Holliday and John Rohde for their help in the Highway 23 cleanup. (6) Karen Geisler was presented her official Rotary Badge, having completed her “rookie” requirements. (7) Committee to be formed to decide what to do about Rotary Square. (a) Meet with Doug Kelm to talk about signs at each end of square detailing our meeting Place and time. (b) Craig Tebon advised all flowers – (ridiculous) (8) Lee Prellwitz explained the need for background checks on anyone who plans to work one on One with a student. This is the law now!! Call Lee for the proper form to fill out. Meeting was called by Tom Worrall of all Paul Harris Fellows to seek nomination s for this year. Wedding Anniversary, this weekend, to Karen and Charles Larsen. Program – Our apologies to Dr. Dick Voss, who came prepared with his program on Cambodia and Thailand. We took all of his time to ROAST DAVE DUEHRING. You had to be there to enjoy it, as it was prolific, to say the least. Chuck Larson on Tennis and Marriage, Rich Carley on BatMan, the Evil Eye and Dusting the merchandise. Tim Lyke on the romance of years, and poetry for The Man, remember Da-Ring.
