Attendance make ups – David Sakrison & Hank Grams at Berlin, Alex Hooker – three – 2 at Venice-Nokomis, FL. and 1 at Venice Sunrise.  Hank & Alex are both 100% ever since joining Ripon Rotary Club. 

Announcements: (1) Bill Boutwell – Corn Roast – Net profit $130.00.  Thanks to those who helped.   Andrew Josephs all day, Gary Born, David Sakrison, Lyn Corder, Kim Holiday, Bill’s wife, Linda, all day and President Lee for getting ice when the temperature was 32 degrees, helping set up and take down.  I’m sure I’ve missed someone.  So Thanks to everyone who helped.  Today Roy Yeomans, Lee Baird & Gary Born bought the last 3 dozen at $4.00 a bag. (2) Randy Hatlin announced his teachers at Murray Park have been given the info of our club sponsoring a trip to the Milwaukee Children’s Learning Center for their 5th graders.

(3) Doug Bradley reports on STRIVE.  1st. meeting will feature Tom Rogers as keynote speaker and 43 letters have been sent to prospective students. (4) Tim Holtz encourages all members to include Janira in family activities.  (5)  Rick Coles invites all to Redhawk Banquet, Saturday, Nov. 3—Speaker will be LeRoy Butler of the Green Bay Packers.  (6) Tim Lyke reminds all of theV.F.W. Chili Supper for Sgt. Andrew Wallace Scholarship Fund.  $6.00 adults. , Wednesday September 26 and the Madiline Gauthier Congo Run.  (7) Kim Holiday thanks those who attended the Chuck Wagon Buffet to kick off Septemberfest, last Friday. 

Sgt. at Arms:  Questions from the 40’s & 50’s.  Thanks to Lyn Corder, our table was 100%.  No fines!!!  I, personally, had six cars where the headlight dimmer switch was on the floor board next to the clutch. 

Program:  Karen Geisler introduced former Ripon teacher, who now retired, is President of The Green Lake Conservancy Foundation, Inc.  The Foundation is a community based non profit. (tax deductible)  land trust that works to preserve, protect and enhanse the aesthetic, ecological, and recreational qualities of the Greater Green Lake watershed.

                Work by the G.L.C.F. is done in partnership with the Green Lake Sanitary District, D.N.R., The Green Lake Association  and Green Lake County Land Conservation Department.

                To Achieve its preservation goals for Green Lake, The Foundation

(1)     Formed in 1995

(2)     Identifies environmentally sensitive Areas.

(3)     Works with landowners to implement best management practices and acquire qualifying natural areas.

(4)     Recommends  conservation easements to landowners to protect their natural areas into perpetuity.
