Randy Hatlin announced the Children’s Health Education Center of Milwaukee will bring their program to Murray Park Elementary, therefore the bussing of kids to Milwaukee won’t be necessary.

Program: President Lee introduced Ted Gurzynski, Governor of District 6270, which includes 58 Rotary Clubs, who calls himself “ an ordinary guy”.  His visit to our club was his 49th.  He has belonged to Rotary since 1982.  He said he didn’t really become a Rotarian until last year when he visited Niger, Nigeria and Haiti, to give oral inoculation to children, an area of 13,000,000 of the poorest people in the world.  He personally gave the oral Polio Vaccine to 470 kids.

As an only child, he hated school, even Kindergarten and his Father worked hard as he wanted Ted to go to college.  His dad made him a deal “go to college and I’ll buy a car.  Ted loved cars, so he went to college.  He has an undergraduate degree from U.W. Milwaukee and graduate degree from Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management, Glendale, Az.  He served in U.S. Army 1968-70.  He has spent 39 years in the International & Banking Fields and is presently V.P., Chief Credit Officer for Pyra Max Bank.  Served as President 1995-96of the Mitchell Field Rotary Club.  In 1998 he joined Milwaukee Rotary and has served on its Board of Directors and is past chair of the International Committee.  He and his wife, Kathy, have been married over 40 years.  They have 3 adult children and 2 grandkids.  His hobbies include golf and horses.

We have 32,000 clubs in the world, and along with this years Theme Rotary Shares, we Rotarians, at the local level, are most important, therefore, we must focus on youth and membership to keep Rotary going.

Ted is also a Deacon of the Catholic Faith, has done weddings, funerals and said he’s never seen a U-Haul trailer at a funeral – Everyone will be judged the same way.      Thanks Governor, Ted.

Next Week – December 3

                Greeter & prayer- Larry Trotter

Program – Tom Kilgore brings Steve Barg – City Administrator.

Thought for Today:  Dear Lord – I’ve been impatient and cross.  Help me to remember that in order to be loved, I must be lovable.  Amen

We can tell Americans trust in God by the way they drive.
