Volume XXVII Issue # 14 October 29, 07 We are all faced with a series of great opportunities brilliantly disguised as impossible situations. Today we lunched and learned with the local League of Women Voters and Paula Price of the Chamber of commerce. Greeter and prayer giver Tim Holz Our President opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance to Our Flag. Guests: We had over 23 guests from the various clubs Kiwanis, League of Women Voters and citizens of Ripon. Announcements: (1) A nice evening was had by the attendees at the Cal Schaub Scholarship dinner. We have 59 members in our club. Its a crying shame that only 9 attended. No Sgt at Arms today. Happy Bucks: (1) Pru Precourt for ground breaking of clinic R.M.C. & Berlin Hospital at Junction of Hwy. 23 & 49 at Green Lake. (2) Rich Carley for the birth of 2 great grandsons within the week. Program (1) The panel consisted of Alan Buechel, Fond du Lac County Administrator, Aaron Kramer, Mayor of Ripon and Steve Barg, Ripon city administrator and Dr. Richard Zimman Superintendent of Ripon Schools. (2) Questions submitted by the audience were directed to the panel by Karl A. Beres of the League of Women Voters. Suffice it to say both the County and City are in good state, and looking forward to a year of improvement. Thank you Chamber, League, City and County for a great program.
