He is frequently asked “How is scouting doing”? His answer, in Ripon, very well. Ripon has 23 new Cub Scouts.. Greg Chatterson has 18 to 36 in his troop. His troop was founded in 1928 – gave Ripon its first Eagle Rank. 104 merit badges. 21 must be earned to attain the Eagles Rank. The troop spends 3 weeks selling popcorn, gaining funds so they don’t have to use their own money to be a scout. I was a Boy Scout!! Thanks Hank and Scot. Next week – October 15 Greeter & Prayer – Tommy Hobbs Program – Bob Gray presents Mary Burke, Secretary of Commerce for Wisconsin, speaking how damaging not having a budget will be. Wisconsin is the only one of 50 states, yet to pass a budget. Thought for Today: Dear Lord – As I face a day of making difficult decisions, I come to You for guidance. Help me make decisions that are astute and fair and that will benefit everyone involved. Amen. Nothing is impossible---except dribbling a football. Scribe – Rich Carley – 748-3391 |
