Sadness (1) The passing of  former Rotarian, Alan Hargrave.  Visitation- Saturday Oct. 14 from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. at First Congregational Church.  Memorial Service at 3:00.  Rotarians are asked to form a group in back and enter together.

              (2) Connie Ige (Dan’s wife) extremely ill – pray for her.  Their address is N4804 E. Court Dr. Princeton, WI .

(4)     Oct. 21 – Fall district Seminar.  President Lee hopes 2 or 3 Rotarians can go with him to Slinger, as the various meetings all take place at same time.

(5)     Sue Finch Brown – Sue’s husband is President of Berlin Rotary Club.  Their Rose Sale at $15.00 dozen, will be Nov. 15 – just before Deer Hunting opens.  Good thinking!!!  The Berlin Club also is at The Bar in Oshkosh, Nov. 23, with Green Bay Packer TV.

(6)     Kathy Ginder –Salvation Army Bell Ringing – Friday Dec. 16 and Sat. Dec. 17.  Sign up, when the time comes.  St. Catherine of Sienna – Octoberfest, Sunday October 15 – German dining Buffet 11 to 1.  Games, raffles, dancing to Tuba Dan Family Band.

(7)     Laurie – United Way Fund Raising Dinner at Pub House. , Monday Nov. 13 – 4:30-7:30, featuring Fried Chicken, Salad Bar, Chinese Buffet, Cash Bar and Silent Auction.

Sgt at Arms – Rick Coles is collection $$$ with his quizes.  Today – Columbus Day – I knew 3 ships.  That wasn’t 4 out of 5 questions!!! 

Program – Kathy Ginder introduced, our friend and honorary Rotarian, Fr. Wally Kasuboski.  Father is home for a couple of weeks of vacation, from his Missionary Assignment in Panama, where he has served for 18 years.  His update included, the people are learning mechanized agriculture.  As he left for vacation, they were combining rice.  The Mission provides 20 families with beans and rice every month.  The 12 fingerling Talapia, that Father Wally trucked to the Mission, have reproduced to the point of 90,000 lbs. of fish daily.  The Cuna Indians who oversee the :lake. profit 20 cents a lb. for the fish.

                The water project, now consists of 80 miles of pipe and the system is a model.  Every home has a meter.  Now they plan on storing water for the dry season.                  Thank you Fr. Wally and God Bless You.
