The Ripon England Club unanimously agreed to join the Ripon Wisconsin club in fund raising for the victim’s families of the September 11 terrorist attack on New York City. They set a target of $1,000 to be raised by contributions from members topped up from their club’s charity account.

The Ripon Wisconsin club set a target of $5,000 to be met by the contributions from members, Rotary Club of Ripon Charity Foundation, and community fundraising.

The club held a fund-raising dinner, raffle, and a silent auction Monday evening 10/22 at C.J.’s at the Wayside, W13201 Cork Street Road, Ripon. The event was a smashing success, with 279 people attending.

Both clubs fundraising goals were met. The total net amount raised was $5,048.53 by Ripon USA, and $1,000 by Ripon England.

We are sending $6,048.53 to the New York Rotary Club, District 7250’s Foundation Disaster Fund to aid the families of victims of The World Trade Center disaster who live in their district. District 7250 plans to apply to Rotary International for Matching Grants and DDF funds.
