It’s Monday noon, time to attend your Rotary Club’s weekly meeting at Royal Ridges.

                Prayer – by our 2nd term leader – President Lee Prellwitz

                Guests were (1) Dave Ginder – Hubby of Kathy.

                                      (2) Anna White and Aysia Platte – Prospective outbounders.

Attendance Makeups – Alex Hooker 9/11/07 at Venice Sunrise & 9/18/07 at Venice Nokomis to remain 100%. 

Homecoming this Friday at R.H.S.  – 6:00a.m. to 8:00a.m. – Go for breakfast at the  cafeteria. 

                T.V. RAFFLE – SELL – SELL – SELL.  TICKET SALES LAGGING BEHIND LAST YEAR..  DRAWING FOR WINNER AFTER NEXT WEEK MEETING.  APPROXIMATELY 1:15  p.m.  3 MORE PRIZES FROM TRACY PORTER TODAY!! 

                STRIVE – 36 students for first meeting from 43 letters sent out.  Tom Rogers spoke and told of his struggle with grades in High School.

(3)     October 29 – Lunch and Learn with County and Local Government Reps.

Karen Geisler missed today’s meeting , as she was driving her daughter to the airport, to leave for 2 years in the Peace Corps.  That to me is an excusable absence. 

Sgt. at Arms – Rick Coles – Ripon College Homecoming this weekend.  Football with Carroll College.  Attempted fine of President Lee, for no picture in the District Directory.  Rick had 4 slips of paper with fine directions. (1) No fines, (2) All fined, (3) Men pay, (4) Women pay.  Dave Ginder drew women pay.  Sorry Girls!! 

Program – Kathy Ginder introduced local product Mike Callen, diamond seller and musician.  Mike entertained us with guitar, singing and Harmonica   (plus his mouse harmonica).  Such tunes as “You are my Sunshine”, “I’ll walk the line”, “My Home Town” and others.

                     Thanks Mike and Kathy for this entertaining program.

Thought for today:  God – keep me ever mindful that through me, Your good works can be done.  Teach me how to be ready to help those in need.  Amen
