The Rotary Club of Ripon began the Youth Exchange Program in 1985 with the
strong encouragement of Ray Dodge. Beginning with the 1985-86 Rotary year, Ripon
has hosted an inbound student each year to date. The students are:

Ripon Rotary also has sent 17 students to other countries over those same 17
years for one-year stays as outbound exchange students. The Club has sponsored
several students on the summer short-term exchanges since 1985-86. Cal Schaub
has served as the local Youth Exchange Coordinator.
This exchange program has become one of the most successful ongoing programs
of the Club and is strongly supported financially for both inbound and outbound
exchanges.
